Gocco Prints!!

So i've got five new gocco prints, all of which i'll be hawking at Open Studios (has it been a year already? Dear lord.)
The first two were for a Print Gocco show at Zuzu's, which i helped organize with Honah.
Getting pretty tired of the mixed results i've had with the gocco (those infernal fuzzy edges), think i'm gonna have to set up a real wee screen press.

Squidward One!

Squidward Too!

These three were made for the Newstoday Print Exchange (NTPE):

Time flies like an arrow...

So I've decided to try and do a series of Sesame St/Muppet Show characters in the best approximation of 15th-18th century portraiture i can muster.
Here's Bert:

Open Studios

So Open Studios is upon us. I, of course, did absolutely nothing for it until a week out. So here's my output over the last 7 days:

Speak Out!
That's my least favorite one. Clearly crap.

Seagull North Star Thingie
Sing it!
That's my favorite. Clearly not crap.

I need to give props to Nicholas Deakin, , whom i ripped off heavily for inspiration.

Weekend Update with Tina Fey

This is from Friday night, Aug 5th, at the old Triple Ds
Lemme tell you

These are some chinese coupons, not sure what for, but they are beautiful
Ten minute! You wait!

...and i drew an ass with some hotpants, which should be the final puzzle piece to my funk cd cover.
Jump back!

Went and saw a show of Rockwell Kent's work up in Portland, quite inspiring. The man could wield pen and ink. I guess he was quite the superstar back in the day. I hope to do some more pen and ink stuff in the near future and get it up here.
